As future engineers, our studies are definitely our main priority. Two of our objectives are to promote academic exellence and support of personal achievement, while providing a social balance, and to aid the individual in the transition from academic to the professional community.

Every semester UF hosts a career fair called Career Showcase, one of the largest career fairs in the southeast. To prepare our sisters for interacting with recruiters and landing internships, we host a variety of events. These events include resume critques, senior advice panels, company info sessions, cover letter workshops, and dress for success workshops. Sometimes we even get to see our alumnae who are recruiters for the companies they work at!

A majority of our sisters go on to pursue careers in industry. To gain insight into industry jobs, some sisters have gone on to get jobs and internships at some big name companies such as ExxonMobil, Proctor & Gamble, General Electric, Disney, Westrock, Duke Engergy, Siemens, Lockheed Martin, Johnson & Johnson, NASA, Microsoft, Southern Company, Geosyntec, Motorola, Home Depot, United States Postal Services, John Deere, and the list goes on! Having sisters with experience getting internships and jobs is a great resource and support system for interviewing and networking tips!

Our sisters also conduct research with faculty at UF and through REUs at other institutions. Some topics of research include biomechanic simulations, toxicity analysis of cells, soil and water quality, solar cells, multi agent simulations, spinal cord injury therapy. These sisters have great advice about getting research positons with faculty and at REUs. Some of these sisters have gone on to pursue Ph.D.s in their respective fields. Additionally, some sisters are involved with design teams in the college of engineering ranging from building solar powered cars to 3D printed prosthetics.

Some sisters have gone abroad to immerse themselves in different languages and cultures, while some have even conducted research and taken engineering classes abroad. Some of these countries include Australia, Belize, Greece, France, Spain, and Germany! These sisters are a great resource for getting involved with study abroad programs.
